Is Muse free? Muse Free, Power and Maximum prices
Muse is the one big-lab agent you can use without paying, and its paid plans exist mainly for people who burn through tokens faster than the free cap allows.
Meta prices Muse by weekly token allowance rather than by feature. Muse Free lets adults in Canada and the US spend as many as 100 million Muse tokens each week, Muse Power raises that to 500 million for $20 a month, and Muse Maximum to 3 billion for $100. Both paid plans have identical features. Because tokens rather than tasks are counted, a long browsing errand can cost more than dozens of quick questions. Meta's help pages still call Muse, paid tiers included, a limited test.
Plans that include Muse
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Muse Free Limited agent | Free | A weekly cap of 100 million Muse tokens that costs nothing, open to Canadian and US adults, although Meta still wants a payment card at sign-up. |
| Muse Power Full agent | $20 a month | Raises the weekly allowance to 500 million Muse tokens for $20 a month, with exactly the features of Maximum, for anyone who keeps running dry on the free cap. |
| Muse Maximum Full agent | $100 a month | Three billion Muse tokens a week for $100 a month, sized for people who keep a whole crew of helper agents busy day and night. |
Even Muse Free asks for a payment card, so the free tier costs nothing to use but still needs a card on file.
Your allowance refills once a week on a day set by when you signed up, not on a fixed weekday. Ask Muse for its balance before starting a long job.
Power and Maximum differ only in allowance. Upgrade when you keep running out, not in the hope of unlocking extra features.
Only adults can sign up, and only in Canada and the US; Meta has put no date on a wider launch.
Questions readers ask
How long do 100 million Muse tokens last?
A week, by design, and for everyday errands that is generally enough. Long browsing jobs eat into it far faster than short questions, so busy agent days drain it sooner. Muse will tell you its remaining balance if you ask.
Do I need a card for Muse Free?
Yes. Meta asks for a payment card at sign-up even on the free plan. Since Muse can also handle payments for you, send it a rule early on that it must ask before paying for anything.
What is the difference between Muse Power and Muse Maximum?
Only the weekly allowance. Power gives 500 million Muse tokens for $20 a month and Maximum 3 billion for $100, with the same features on both. Maximum is intended for people running many helper agents at all hours.
