From 23 July Google began rolling Gemini Spark out to American subscribers of Google AI Pro, Digital Trends reported. The plan costs $19.99 a month. Spark, which Google first showed at its I/O conference in May, had previously required Google AI Ultra, and Google says Pro access will extend to more countries, without giving dates for any of them.
Spark operates in Google's cloud and draws on what a person's Google account already holds. As many as 15 of its tasks can run side by side across the web, Docs, Calendar and Gmail, some on a timetable and others set off by an event such as a new message arriving or a change to the calendar. Jobs that people repeat turn into skills they can reuse.
Anywhere outside the US, Spark still means paying for Google AI Ultra, priced from $99.99 a month with a $199.99 tier above it. No plan offers it in Nigeria, Switzerland, the UK or the European Economic Area. The Pro expansion followed macOS support in June and, early in July, the extension of Ultra access to additional countries.
For US users whose mail and calendar already sit with Google, this is one of the least costly paid agents to try. Grant it Google apps one by one and keep a close eye on event-triggered tasks at first.
